This research was conducted between May 22 and June 18, 2020 among 1,815 members of the student communities at these five Quebec colleges: Cégep de Jonquière, Cégep Garneau, Cégep Gérald-Godin, Cégep de Sainte-Foy and Collège de Rosemont.

It had several objectives:

  • Documenting the impact of distance learning on college students’ academic careers
  • Drawing up a portrait of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and confinement on the mental health of college students 
  • Identify risk factors predisposing college students to poor academic adjustment during the pandemic
  • Identify effective coping strategies
