Various strategies are used to encourage this involvement and make it more attractive:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Universit\u00e9 Laval recognises volunteer involvement in the community as part of the 3-credit &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/chaires.fsa.ulaval.ca\/engagementsocial\/cours\/valorisation-engagement-social\/?_gl=1*2fhp2n*_ga*MjEwNjIwODQ1Mi4xNjgzNzIxODky*_ga_RDE926SPK6*MTY4NDE3NjUzOS4yLjAuMTY4NDE3NjUzOS42MC4wLjA.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Valorisation d&#8217;une exp\u00e9rience d&#8217;engagement social<\/a>&nbsp;&#8221; course.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Universit\u00e9 de Sherbrooke offers peer helpers a $250 annual bursary.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00c9cole de technologie sup\u00e9rieure recognises the commitment of engineering students through its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.etsmtl.ca\/activites-et-services-aux-etudiants\/vie-etudiante\/genieplus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">G\u00e9nie+<\/a> program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>HEC Montr\u00e9al has chosen to pay the peer helpers in its Escouade SAE program.
