Numerous institutional policies and action plans promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) have been developed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the Fonds de recherche du Qu\u00e9bec:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Equity <\/strong>refers to fair treatment, aimed in particular at eliminating systemic barriers that disadvantage certain groups.
