The Aide à la vie étudiante (AVE) network is made up of members of the teaching and administrative staff of the Université de Sherbrooke who offer informal, punctual and confidential support to students at all levels. These people listen to them, advise them and direct them to the best university or community resources. AVEs are located on all campuses and faculties of the Université de Sherbrooke. Students anticipating or experiencing difficulties can contact a member of the AVE network of their choice to ask for support. The reasons for consulting AVEs are of all kinds, whether related to personal, family or interpersonal life, personal or professional questioning, projects linked to student life, the search for resources, etc.
This initiative inspired the Séminaire de Sherbrooke to set up a similar service.
