This report is the result of theEnquête Sexualité, Sécurité et Interactions en Milieu Universitaire (ESSIMU) which provided a picture of sexual violence in the university context in Quebec. Data collection took place in 2016, when 9,284 respondents from 6 French-speaking Quebec universities answered an online questionnaire. This study represents the first initiative of its kind in Quebec to document sexual violence among the entire university community, both inside and outside the walls of the university.
