Les Capitaines video series is designed to inspire and motivate you as a student-athlete. Here, we meet four student-athletes who share their stories, advice and tips on the road to success. The Captains show that balancing sport and studies is of course demanding, but just as rewarding.

Here they are!

  • Nolan Turgeon: This middle-distance track and field specialist is about to begin his university studies at the Université de Sherbrooke. Impatient about this new chapter, he shares some of his fears about the college/university transition.
  • Jacob Lafrance: Weightlifter and mechanical engineering technician at Cégep de Valleyfield, Jacob Lafrance is the epitome of resilience! He’ll discuss the challenges and rewards of a technical program, while sharing his best tips for reconciling sport and studies during his professional internships.
  • Emmy Bronsard: This figure skater distinguishes herself both on the ice and in the classroom! A humanities student at Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf, she overcame personal challenges over the past year, reinforcing her autonomy, organizational skills and perseverance.
  • Maryann Côté-Mashala: A rowing athlete, Maryann is a social media enthusiast with a thousand and one sport-study content ideas to share with you. A humanities student at Cégep de Granby, she overcame a change of program and CEGEP along the way.
