The It’s OK to say Suicide awareness campaign aims to break the silence surrounding suicide and reduce the stigma that often prevents people from talking about it. It is based on a central idea: saying the word ‘suicide’ does not encourage people to take their own lives, but rather opens the door to a conversation that can save lives. To achieve this, JED offers a series of resources, including the documentary Each and Every Day, in which nine young adults share their experiences. The campaign also provides practical guides on how to spot warning signs, develop a personal safety plan, find affordable therapy, and take care of yourself.
