The Dataviz Lab was inaugurated in the winter 2022 session in the entrance hall of the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi (UQAC) to raise awareness of mental health issues among the university community. Organised and run by the Laboratoire vivant sur la santé mentale en milieu universitaire team, it is both a forum for dialogue and a place for communicating and collecting research data. Social work and education students are on hand to facilitate discussions and guide visitors to the appropriate resources when necessary. The art installation was created in collaboration with LUM design artists on the theme of travel, to inspire students to take a moment to reflect, contribute or engage in conversation.
