This INSPQ guide is designed to support action and reflection on promoting well-being and preventing suicide among First Nations and Inuit communities. It presents seven principles drawn from Indigenous knowledge and publications, along with concrete steps for action, enabling conditions, and examples of initiatives in Quebec to support their implementation.

The guide’s content is grounded in a cultural safety framework to foster respectful, safe, and racism-free environments, while helping to reduce power imbalances between institutions and First Nations.
