The Programme de postvention: Être prêt à agir à la suite d’un suicide shows how an organization can act in the event of a suicide death to limit the impact on the community. It shows how to structure and apply postvention interventions in different phases, over several months depending on the situation. The interventions proposed in the program aim, among other things, to reduce the risk of the ripple effect, to reduce the suffering of the bereaved, to increase the sense of security in the environment and to promote a return to normal functioning.
This webinar also presents the postvention program. A variety of intervention strategies are offered simultaneously and in a temporal sequence to different sub-groups.
This webinar’s guest is:
- Monique Séguin, professor at the Université du Québec en Outaouais and researcher with the McGill Group for Suicide Studies (MGSS).
