Canadian Postsecondary Education Alcohol and Drug Use Survey (CPADS) was conducted from 2 October 2024 to 15 April 2025. A total of 29,371 students from 43 educational institutions in Canada participated in this online survey.
This survey aims to better understand substance use patterns among post-secondary students in Canada. Its objectives are to :
- assess the frequency of use of various substances
- follow trends
- identify the factors that influence this consumption
- measure the associated damage
- examine knowledge and behaviours related to safe consumption
The substances studied include alcohol, cannabis, prescription drugs, illegal drugs, cigarettes, and vaping products.
