This webinar from the Centre for Innovation in Mental Health on Campus presents the main challenges faced by 2SLGBTQ+ students in post-secondary education in terms of mental health and access to services. Preliminary research findings suggest that despite positive changes in mental health in higher education, 2SLGBTQ+ students still face barriers to accessing available campus services. Challenges such as lack of trust in services, fear of homophobia and transphobia, and structural barriers to care are discussed. This presentation also offers insights that can support decision-making regarding mental health services for this student population.

The guest speaker for this webinar is Dr. Sarah Smith, a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre for Sexual and Gender Minority Health Research at the University of Toronto.
