L’anxiété au 21e siècle is a 50-minute medium-length film that takes an in-depth look at anxiety, using characters from 21st century Quebec culture. With this film, the director wanted to raise questions about the role of our culture and our times in relation to the fact that more and more people are experiencing anxiety.
Synopsis: University students Léonie and Noah have been a couple for a few months. Léonie has a panic attack on stage at a gala to mark her graduation from bachelor’s degree. She will be expressly confronted with her anxiety. And so begins his journey to better understand himself. A journey that, despite Noah’s empathy and good intentions, will put their relationship to the test. Will Léonie be able to transcend her repetitive anxieties through dance?
