This article reports the results of a study examining the link between exposure to nature, in everyday life and in the specific context of physical activity, and positive mental health in young adults. A total of 357 young adults in New Brunswick reported their exposure to nature and their level of positive mental health on two occasions, one year apart.

The results show that young people with high exposure to nature in both contexts had better positive mental health than those with low exposure in both contexts. These results highlight the importance of contact with nature.
