The “Be There” certificate is offered virtually and free of charge to the student population. It provides the knowledge and skills to safely support a person with mental health difficulties in order to:

  • Recognizing the signs of mental health problems
  • Broaching the subject with the person
  • Building trust and offering practical support
  • Improve your listening skills
  • Setting healthy limits
  • Helping someone access appropriate professional and community resources
  • Taking care of yourself

The course lasts around 2 hours and can be taken at your own pace. It includes six interactive lessons available in French, English and Spanish. These are accompanied by videos and real-life scenarios.
