The action plan Prévenir et contrer les violences à caractère sexuel en enseignement supérieur is to support establishments in implementing their obligations under the Loi visant à prévenir et combattre les violences à caractère sexuel dans les établissements d’enseignement supérieur. It is also part of the cultural change supported by the intervention strategy.
The plan is divided into 3 areas of action, with a total of 11 measures. Here is a summary table.
- Axis 1 – Prevention: ensuring a change of culture to prevent and counter sexual violence in higher education.
- Axis 2 – Accompanying people: ensure adequate and effective support for people dealing with situations related to sexual violence, notably through the services of a one-stop shop.
- Axis 3 – Develop knowledge and share expertise to take better action: encourage research to gather and share evidence on sexual violence affecting all students and staff in higher education.
The ministère de l’Enseignement supérieur is also making available a guide to help establishments draw up a policy to prevent and combat sexual violence.
