The CICMH Student Conduct and Mental Health Toolkit is designed for community members to help them better understand how to support students who exhibit behavioural issues, which are often indicative of underlying mental health problems. It suggests ways to offer support, refer students to services, and collaborate with other campus departments, incorporating restorative justice practices and emphasising the importance of multidisciplinary teams and a holistic, integrated approach.
This toolkit focuses specifically on non-academic misconduct, i.e. misconduct related to substance use, misuse of property, serious interpersonal conflicts, acts of violence or other disruptive behaviour in the classroom, residences or other campus areas.
Les inconduites académiques (ex. plagiat, tricherie ou corruption) sont quant à elles, généralement traitées par des procédures distinctes au sein des établissements.
