The Contribuer à une culture de bienveillance et de bien-être en milieu collégial course is designed for teaching staff and professionals who want to be better equipped to deal with mental health and well-being issues in the college environment.
It covers mental health issues in the college environment, as well as influencing factors and strategies for creating a climate of caring and well-being, all from a systemic perspective.
This 3-credit course is asynchronous with some optional synchronous sessions centered around exchanges. Pedagogical activities revolve around readings, videos, reflective workshops, discussion forum, etc.
The results of the evaluation of this course were presented as part of the Journées annuelles de transfert de connaissances sur la santé mentale étudiante, organized by ISMÉ in March 2024.
Speakers:
- Félix Guay-Dufour, work and organizational psychologist, project coordinator at the Centre RBC d’expertise en santé mentale and coordinator of the Observatoire sur la santé mentale étudiante en enseignement supérieur (OSMÉES).
- Julie Lane, associate professor at the Université de Sherbrooke, director of the RBC Centre d’expertise universitaire en santé mentale and co-director of OSMÉES.
- Maude Rainville, orthopedagogue and holds a master’s degree in special education.
