This article presents the results of a study aimed at documenting the success factors, challenges and strengths of graduate students with ADHD. Twenty individuals took part in a semi-structured interview about their access to graduate studies and the perceived effects of their diagnosis.
Despite the many challenges associated with ADHD, the vast majority of participants identify at least one positive aspect of their diagnosis. Academically, they report being creative in their work and thinking. They also associate ADHD with passion, curiosity and a desire to learn, which drives them to take an interest in a variety of subjects and invest themselves in their studies. (Free translation)
