At Université Laval, a number of indoor and outdoor multifunctional areas have been set up to enable students to take a break during their days on campus. Some of these spaces are permanent, others mobile. It is hoped that these spaces will help support the community’s mental health and provide an opportunity to live more fully on campus.
Here are just a few examples of these relaxation areas.
- A place where you can practice cardiac coherence exercises, download meditation podcasts or play lists of relaxing music.
- A mobile terrace that can be moved around campus lounges and cafeterias, designed to meet the need for well-being and human connections.
- An open space filled with natural light for anyone who wants to take a break, recharge their batteries, meet new people and feel good, so they can get on with their day.
