At the Cégep de Sherbrooke, 6 desk-bikes equipped with a tablet are available for students to do homework, read and study while stretching their legs. Both the seat and the table are adjustable to suit individual physiognomy. The aim is not to train, but rather to activate the legs. Students can select a tension that will allow them to pedal without causing muscle fatigue.
The use of desk bikes is encouraged, especially for students with ADHD, as exercise has the potential to increase concentration and attention, reduce anxiety and facilitate learning.
