The peer supporters Korsa allows a graduate student to offer one-on-one support to an undergraduate student. Enrolled in a master’s or doctoral program and having experienced a variety of anxiety-related issues during their studies, Korsa peer helpers have been trained in the Acceptance and Commitment approach, a behavioral and cognitive approach to cognitive flexibility.

Together, the two people meet for 5 sessions lasting 60 to 90 minutes to discuss the following topics.

  • Pitfalls that contribute to increased stress and anxiety when studying
  • Values that give meaning to life
  • Actions that enable you to commit to and live by what’s important to you
